Rules for Sim Rally Masters 2024

1. Basic rules for interaction and the SRM Discord server

  • Respect each other
  • Post in the appropriate channels
  • No NSFW content
  • Don’t DM the Organisers if you have questions regarding the championship. Post them in #general-discussion and we will see it

2. Information regarding the rallies

  • Sim Rally Masters (SRM) is a Richard Burns Rally championship organized through RSF plugin with the latest version of NGP Physics, meaning that all drivers who have an account on RSF can enter the championship.
  • Realistic damage is used in the championship, Super Rally rule is turned on.
  • Pacenotes will use the “only pacenote audio” option.
  • The calendar can be found here
  • The championship will consist of eight endurance rallies featuring a long overall distance ( ̴300 kilometres) and only a few legs for longer breaks.
  • Each rally will be open for 14 full days and the last leg needs to be started before the rally closes. The last leg will always be quite short, check 8. Hotlap trophy for more info.
  • A list containing all the stages used in a rally will be released two weeks latest before the start of each rally in practice mode you can do whatever you want
  • You are not allowed to set up and enter rallies that completely or partially copy the roadbook. This behaviour is considered unsportsmanlike. Competitors participating in those rallies, will receive a warning on the first infraction and will be disqualified on a second infraction

3. Replay checking

  • The organisers can ask for replays to check for possible cheating (explained in the points below). Please use the RSF Discord so the organiser can contact you easily. (send replays using the Google form provided)
  • Cutting corners with 4 wheels off the road will be considered as cheating.
  • Wallriding is considered cheating.
  • If a competitor is caught cheating, the competitor may receive a penalty. The severity of the penalty will depend on the severity of the cheat and if the competitor has any previous infractions.
  • Replays must be sent within 72 hours after the original request of the organiser was sent.
  • If said replay file was not sent within 72 hours, the competitor will receive a 3 minute penalty and another 24 hours to send the replay. If the organiser still hasn’t received the requested replay files after this time period, the competitor will be disqualified.

4. Car Numbers

  • 1 - 20 are reserved for the top 20 drivers of the previous season

6. Driver's Championship

  • the driver's championship will entirely be processed on the rallysimfans.hu website here

7. Team’s Championship

  • Team points are different to driver's points
  • the first 100 drivers can score team points, drivers that are not in a team but in the top 100 will then just block the points
  • the fastest driver gets 100 points, the 100th driver will score 1 point
    • 1st - 100
    • 2nd - 99
    • 3rd - 98
    • ...
    • 98th - 3
    • 99th - 2
    • 100th - 1
  • every driver gets an additional point for every finished stage
    • example: driver finished 43rd and finished 28 out of 34 stages of the rally
    • 58 (43rd) + 28 (stages finished) = 86 points in total
  • Teams can consist of a maximum of four drivers of which only the two best will automatically score per rally. Drivers cannot be changed after they have been announced on the Discord. The third and fourth drivers will not score for the team but block the position for opponents.
  • There are no restrictions on the car or class choice for the teams.
  • the team championship will be organised on the SRM discord

8. Hotlap Trophy

  • SRM 2024 will feature a hotlap championship
  • the fastest 5 drivers of each category on the last stage of each rally will score 5 to 1 points
  • To ensure drivers complete the event within or as close to the allotted time as possible, there will be an additional short leg at the end of the rally. This will contain a powerstage when applicable, and at most three other stages with a maximum total length of 50 km.
  • additionally, this means that you need to make sure, that you finish the penultimate leg of the rally BEFORE the rally actually ends
  • the Hotlap trophy will be organised on the SRM discord

9. Further Information

  • The points system is subject to change till the first rally has been officially started
  • Any cars, that might get added throughout the season and fall into one of the preassigned classes offered by the plugin, will be added to the ongoing championship as well.
