What is Sim Rally Masters?

  • We are just a bunch of rally nerds that enjoy driving the cars of old and want provide an endurance challenge. We take inspiration from real events and try to create unique rallies in Richard Burns Rally. With legs that can be easily over 100km long, that need to be driven in quick succession, a bit of that old madness is still present. Thanks to WorkerBee, RSF and others you have the opportunity to prepare for each rally like in no other simulation. Set up your car, recce the stages, write your own pacenotes and put some new paint on your car and even drive the whole thing in one go if you want. You can decide yourself how deep that rabbit hole you want to go but most importantly: Have fun.

What is a leg?

  • A leg is a series of stages which you have to drive in one sitting. The online rally list displays how many legs there are in a rally. On the website, you can check how many stages are in a single leg and for SRM, you can also check it in real-stages-and-roadbook once the full roadbook is released.
  • A message saying "you have finished the leg" will indicate the leg is over and you will be prompted back the the online rally list.

What is Superrally?

  • Superrally is a feature to continue driving from the next leg onwards after you retired. You will receive a time penalty for every stage you didn't complete.
  • When you crash and have to retire, you will be prompted with the message "do you want to continue with Superrally?"
  • Press yes to continue with Superrally. If you accidentally clicked no, but still want to continue driving, you can head over to the rallysimfans site and go to rally page. At the bottom, there will be a link with retired drivers. Click on this link, scroll to your username and a big Superrally button should be next to it.
  • make sure no notes are within 5 metres of the start/finish or the checkpoints to avoid accidental superrallies

I drove a few stages and took a break, now the rally doesn't appear anymore in the rally list.

  • You're supposed to drive all stages in a leg in succession. You have about 30 minutes between stages of the same leg to start the next stage.

My game crashd! What now?

  • As long as the stage timer wasn't running, you can restart the game and the rally will appear in "continue rally" at the very bottom of the online rally list. If the stage timer was running, this will be counted as a mechanical problem and you will receive a DNF UNLESS there were server issues at RSF.
  • If the game crashes after you crossed the finish line, you should also be able to just restart the game and got to "continue rally"

I got a cut penalty even though I stayed on the road or I got a weird red screen.

  • Some bugs can always happen on stages. If you think you got punished even though you didn't deserve it, head over to issue-reports and send a message with video evidence reporting the bug. Organisers will judge whether you time can be adjusted.

I got a network error when loading results, what to do?

  • Press retry and see if it continues to next screen. If not then make sure that your stage result is uploaded to rallysimfans website. If the result (stage&overall) is shown on website then you're good to go and you can press back. If not then you can try pressing retry again and check results again.

I crashed after the finish line of a stage. There is a service after the stage where I repaired everything but still my car won't start on the next stage.

  • You cannot repair terminal damage, you can only superrally. Basically, the car was too damaged to drive to the service park. In this case, the car will still be broken on the start of the next stage.

I have an issue with the game itself or with the website

  • For technical issues and other things that don't relate to SRM you're best off asking at the RSF discord server for help with the game. This doesn't mean you can't ask questions here, but you're more likely to be helped in the RSF Discord Server.
