Rally New Zealand - Roadbook - SRM VI Round 2

Image
The Sim Rally Masters circus goes on another island hop, this time to the other side of the planet: your captain Kringel welcomes you to a 1995-inspired Rally New Zealand, where the delightful cambered gravel and twisty and tight forests await! Of course, on paper this is a fairy-tale rally, but for a beautiful rainbow there must be rain... and since we're partying like it's 1995, we have packed the tyres for rain and monsoon conditions, as it will very much be a slippery affair in the Te Ika-a-Māui (North Island). Remember to get your raincoats, and most importantly to wipe and dry the soles of your shoes before you start driving, as the organisers will take no responsibility for drivers slipping on wet pedals and going full throttle into the lush scenery. Good luck! >>> LINK TO RALLY <<<

Rallye Islas Canarias - Roadbook - SRM VI Round 1

Image
A new season is upon us, and for the first round of the SRM Season VI we're having what looks like a series of short sprint loops around different parts of the Gran Canaria island. Based on the 1988 edition of the rally, Janne brings us a seemingly (and possibly deceptively) easy way into the championship with the Rallye Islas Canarias. The glorious weather and repeated stages will bring out the true hotlapper within each and every one of us, as we push our limits while at the same time we curb our enthusiasm to make sure we reach the finish. Get your cars, co-drivers, liveries and teams ready, as well as the spare tyres and the mechanics, for the beginning of yet another SRM adventure! >>> LINK TO RALLY <<<

Sim Rally Masters Season VI is here!

Image
WE ARE BACK!     We are also back at tremendous pace since Round 1 will start in a month, check the calendar here Things that have changed or not changed: the rules stay the same as last season for the most part, check them out here car categories stay the same new rule: no Super Rally anymore (that also means no more extra points per stage in the team championship) rallies are now 2 weeks long again other rules can change but it's unlikely. A generic rally plate, door sticker and windshield banner will follow. But now it is time to think about the cars you want to drive and recce. Or just procrastinate and do all of that last minute

The Great British Winter Rally - Roadbook - SRM 2025-2026 Round 6

Image
And as if we had not had enough mud and rain on the previous round, we will finish off this season with more mud and rain and we will add some snow and slush on top of that. Yes, you've guessed it, it's the big finale in RAC-style for The Great British Winter Rally! The weather starts off beautifully with some morning fog and rain on the first leg, and as it gets cold in this time of the year, the snow even makes its grand appearance during the second and third legs. As it is customary in the UK, no studded tyres are allowed for rallies like the ones used in the Nordic countries (furthermore, since we are in June and this snowfall was completely unexpected in this part of the world, none of the teams have snow/winter tyres, so the crews will have to survive with gravel tyres for rain conditions). Good luck and see you at the finish line for some warm tea >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> PDF VERSION <<<

Rallye Sachsenring - Roadbook - SRM 2025-2026 Round 5

Image
For round 5... the mud continued! Recreating the 1989 edition of the rally, Kringel re-created the Rallye Sachsenring emulating the difficult road surface conditions and the complicated weather in the region to provide us with yet another SRM classic where, as always, staying on the road guaranteed a top 100 finish. A bit after the fact, but here is the roadbook of the rally, for archiving purposes. Remember that on Service 11, before SS30, there was no time to change the setup as all the mechanics united together in one effort to clear the water away from the flooded service park. >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> PDF VERSION <<<

Rallye Côte d'Ivoire - Roadbook - SRM 2025-2026 Round 4

Image
We could not contrast it more: from the twisty alpine mountains we head to the forests and plains and savannas in the heart of Africa. Get strapped up for this season's safari adventure at the Rallye Côte d'Ivoire!   This epic trip, created by cGordon, is based on the 1985's edition of the rally, where the weather was quite blissful and hot despite the tropical thunders and showers still making a small appearance. This means that the open roads will be changing from fast dusty straights to bumpy muddy puddles! Try to make your way around all the rocks without getting stuck in the fesh-fesh, but pay attention to any hidden Audi mechanics in the bushes getting up to some extravagant antics in order to try to bring Michèle Mouton to the finish...  >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> PDF VERSION <<<

Rally Biella-Treviso - Roadbook - SRM 2025-2026 Round 3

Image
New year, new rally! We're back and we start the year with yet another asphalt challenge, this time a much twistier one. The Rally Biella-Treviso is a creation by Janne Laahanen, to emulate a scenic tour through the Italian Alps and Riviera.   Taking inspiration in rallies such as the Rally della Lana and the Rally della Marca Trivigiana, among others, this should reward the most resilient drivers especially when it comes to paying attention to every single corner call, as well as the stamina to keep going and turning the wheel time after time after time with barely any rest. And of course, our friend mother nature is always welcome to the party and will surely bring all kinds of weather for us to enjoy... Good luck!  >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> PDF VERSION <<<

Rajd Polski - Round 1 Recap, by Wiktor Smoliński

Image
As some participants have already started their adventure up the gravelly mountains of Olympus, we wait for the news of their endeavours and any footage or live feed from the stages. Meanwhile, Wiktor has put together a rally recap for the Rajd Polski with the best and the better moments shared by our participants, make sure to check it below!

Olympus Rally - Quick History lesson, by Jake GPLaps

Image
Imagine a country with over a million miles of unpaved roads, with massive areas of wilderness and mountains and unique terrain which spans the gamut found on planet earth. A country with a population that has an unquenchable thirst for the automobile and the largest auto manufacturers willing to take any opportunity to outshine their rivals. A nation fueled by endless motorsport competition with some of the largest events in the world funded by the largest corporations in the world all vying to have a small slice of the pie. It seems like a place for which Rally would have been the perfect variety of racing to claim as its own. To take a seemingly average vehicle and hurl it on seemingly average roads at incredibly unaverage speeds. Not requiring a special facility and bringing the sport itself directly to the people in their own back yards. And that is very nearly what happened in the Cascade mountains of the Pacific Northwestern United States. For a brief 3 years of the 1980s, the w...

Olympus Rally - Roadbook - SRM 2025-2026 Round 2

Image
The adventure continues into a new continent and a new surface for the crews to tackle. Almost 300km of special stages in the forests, around inlets and by the ocean coast near "New" Olympia. So close to the home of the rally gods, will they bring us favourable weather this time too?... As always, remember to recce the stages, especially the ones with loops, to make sure you always know the way forward. Good luck and enjoy the rally! >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> PDF VERSION <<<

Rajd Polski - Roadbook - SRM 2025-2026 Round 1

Image
It is time to get organised and let the co-drivers do what they do best: prepare the rally and the services ahead of this first adventure of the season. The weather is reported to be quite clear, but it must be remembered that after so many cars passing through the stages various times, there might be some dirt in some corners that will make the road more slippery. Good luck and enjoy the rally! >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> PDF VERSION <<<

Rajd Polski Roadbook Ramblings, by Wiktor Smoliński

So, you've enrolled to the Rajd Polski and arrived in Wrocław with a head full of questions: what do the stages look like? What can you expect once you leave the service park? Experienced locals reckon this year's edition is looking a bit easier than the previous years, but how true is that? Instead of having your questions answered, you – along with the rest of the participants – get taken to see the Racławice Panorama. While it is surely nice to admire this monumental painting, it does not help at all with understanding the challenge that you’re going to face in just a few hours. But fear not because I am here exactly for that: to guide you through the famed stages that have so much to tell. But first, before we let the rivalries loose on the stages, the official start must take place. The ceremony surely will be attended by thousands of fans, gathered here to get at least a glimpse of the drivers from all around the world sitting in their loud, colourful cars. The spectacle ...

Rajd Polski - Quick History Lesson, by Wiktor Smoliński

Image
I think it's safe to say all rally fans know Rajd Polski – or Rally Poland in English – pretty well, both from WRC and ERC: fast gravel roads, with big jumps leading through the fields of Mazuria. But that's just in recent years. The world's second oldest rally has a rich history and has visited many places before. The first edition was held in 1921, starting in Warsaw. With six competitors at the start, the rally turned out to be a success and was continued in the next years, with the route getting longer. In 1939, Grand Prix International Rally as it was called back then was 4358 kilometres long! The Second World War obviously delayed the next editions, but the rally came back in 1947. Unfortunately, it did not earn the sympathy of communist officials back then and it was halted after the 1948 edition. The big return happened six years later, and in 1959 the organization was given to Automobilklub Krakowski. Because of that the event was moved to Kraków but during some ed...

Updates about how we continue after Round 6 was cancelled

We have some good news! And some bad ones. You might have noticed that this season is a bit struggling to make the rallies happening at the dates that the calendar suggests due to some issues with timing equipment, then some light issues in the space time continuum which led to drivers reporting stutters or other supernatural shenanigans. This time around it's stewards rolling the dice on how much penalty they give for C4Hs. So it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the Gilbert rally will take the spot of the RAC rally. In turn, the RAC will be held as an unofficial event. The decision was made because the RAC would be very similar to Press-on-Regardless given that a lot of stages would overlap.    >>>CHECK THE UPDATED CALENDAR HERE<<< That means that the stage list is still valid but conditions and order will be different to the first attempt. We know that's annoying for some and this season has been anything but flawless but we hope you stay...

Round 6 - CANCELLED and DELAYED

Hello, the current round of Sim Rally Masters has been cancelled. This is related to some issues that occured with the the last huge RSF update. The RSF wizards already fixed the issues but since the update released as the round was running, we need to cancel it and push it back. The next date is in discussion but it will be the next Wednesday, as soon as we know and feel it's safe to start this endeavour. Meanwhile you can drive the rally if you want. We will also make sure that no one will have an advantage when we restart the rally but we will not add any more stages. Thanky you and keep driving all those other rallies for now!

Time for some action in Japan. This time we split up round three into three seperate rallies. One on tarmac with lots of sun, the other a mudfest and the third takes us to the snowy regions. Each rally will count as a full rally but the caveat is that there is no superrally rule. So, if you crash out, that's it. No points for that rally. Every rally is also just one leg, so if you start it, you need to finish it. You can tackle each rally in any order you like and now let's do some rallying in the land of the rising sun. >>> Round 3/I - Tamakku <<<   >>> Round 3/II -  Guraberu <<<   >>> Round 3/III - Suno <<<

Roadbook Round 2 - Sanremo

So the wine in Tuscany is was so good the organisers dozed off and almost forgot there was a rally to attend to. How would you react yourself if you were forced on a 2 month break in Italy? For those traveling between stage 11 and stage 12, take a pitstop in San Gimignano. Specifically at Gelateria Dondoli to enjoy some quality ice cream (or gelato if we don't want to offend the Italians again). From experience I can say it's the best gelato I've ever had. The nice little village around the shop was a nice plus. Anyway, this little tangent literally served no purpose but to distract from what you're all here for: the Rallye Sanremo roadbook! >>> LINK TO RALLY <<< >>> GOOGLE SHEETS VERSION <<<
